Guillaume Guenat is a PhD student at the Institute of Social Sciences at the University of Lausanne and a collaborator of the GameLab Lausanne. His dissertation, supervised by Yannick Rochat and Gianni Haver, examines the social history of local video‑game practices. More broadly, his research concerns the social and political history of media, images, leisure, and play.
Pierre-Yves Hurel is a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Lausanne (Switzerland) and a member of the FNS–Sinergia research project Confoederatio Ludens: Swiss History of Games, Play and Game Design 1968-2000. His work focuses primarily on amateur video‑game creation and the regional history of video games. He is a collaborator of the GameLab Lausanne and co‑founder of the Liège Game Lab.
